I've only ever sewn one zipper and it was during a skirt class at Spool of Thread Sewing Lounge, so I had a teacher walking me through the entire process. I've yet to try it on my own!

don't worry, I'm not good at resizing either. I definitely have noticed a shortage in sizing in that age bracket. Not sure where to refer you to actually. sorry about that. I'm sure as my girls get older I'll be finding larger sized patterns. Let me know if you find anything as I have a few readers who are in the same boat as you.

Muhahaha..I would love it all to have velcro! Although I am a big fan of a sweet looped button. I still find myself drawn to the simplicity of those and the comfort as well. You should try a Figgy's pattern. They are lovely.

Darn it, if only her patterns went a little bigger or I knew how to resize patterns. Unfortunately my skills are able to adapt sewing patterns like I can a knitting pattern. I need to find sewing patterns for girls just a little older. My daughter is 10 and I would love to make her some clothes.
