Those crowns are so gorgeous! I adore that fabric - I made some pyjamas for my four-year-old for Christmas using the tower fabric in the same range... I might just have to make her a crown to match!

How funny - my daughter turns 4 in a couple of weeks and I'm making these for the girls at the party (would a black and gold one be appropriate as a 'king' crown for the boys?). I LOVE Harper's singing face even more though. BRILLIANT. Sam totally has a singing face too - he'll sort of tuck his chin down a little, cock one eyebrow, grin, and start belting out "Baby Badoodah" (Baby Beluga) for all he's worth. It's all very Tony Bennett.

Laura - I was tempted to use felt when I had seen a lot of other tutes do this but when I spotted the tute I used I was sold. Something special about using fave fabrics and trims. Love it!

This may just be the perfect thing for me to get my sewing legs back again. I've been up to my eyeballs for so long in yarn I forgot how fun it can be to sew up little things for the girls.
