  3. I can't wait to get started! I'll definitely be making Jane's Georgia. For my second sweater I'm debating between Isabell Kraemer's Paulie and Gudrun Johnston's Praline.

  5. The news I've been waiting for! Yay! I'm definitely knitting Papillion and I'm debating between Bayside Pullover or Shift of Focus for a second sweater.

  6. Count me in! I'm thinking I will knit "Alecia Beth" using some Handmaiden Silk Twist (silk/merino blend). Nothing like a good knitalong

  7. WOOT! I've been waiting on the deets for this! I've had my pattern picked out for a while now....Sambuca, by Baby Cocktails.

    1. Great choice! What yarn are you going to use?

    2. I'm all about The Plucky Knitter -- main color in Flying Monkeys (a heathered brown), with contrasting colors of Barn Door (deep red), Narangasset Grey (blue grey), and Dandy Lion (golden yellow). It took a while to assemble the colors -- TPK is truly a workout to acquire -- but it's all there...waiting. Let's do this!!!

    3. To add....

I had so much fun doing the spring TTT KAL and the ladies were so supportive and great, I can't wait to do this one! (and maybe win a fab prize this time???) tee-hee!

  8. Already swatched and excitedly waiting for the starting day! I'm knitting myself a Grace Cardigan, with some TFA Red Label (cashmere, silk, merino) in Midnight that I treated myself to on Mother's Day :)

    1. Swooning over your TFA! That will be stunning!

    2. I'm knitting Grace right now and loving it. Maybe I'll try to finish it up before I cast on for this KAL. It's good to have deadlines.

  11. I'm so excited! I have had the patterns and yarn bought for the patterns for a while now. I am planning on doing babycocktails chocolate stout and Jane Richmonds Grace. Depending on how fast I go with those I may be able to throw in a third project, but the chocolate stout is quite extensive so I'm not holding my breath for a third project. EEk only two weeks!

  12. Ah! So exciting. I'm thinking Glenna C.'s Burrard from Twist Collective. I have both yarn and pattern and this is the perfect excuse to cast on. Plus, it's knit in pieces, so I won't have a whole sweater in my lap during the crazy Toronto heat.

  13. I'm leaning towards Baileys Irish Cream in madeline tosh DK but I'm not sure...

    1. I'm also knitting Irish Cream. I am about halfway done, but it is currently hibernating. It's a great pattern.

  14. I'd love to join, but I'm a bit stuck....lack of inspiration.... I'm looking for an easy knit....something I can do whilst the kids are about and I can put down easily if I need to...so no cables and excessive counting :/ anyone got any ideas? Pretty please xx

    1. Next week we'll have some inspiration as well as the start day. I do a big roundup of project ideas as well as we will have a pinterest board filled with inspiration! I'm sure we can find you something.

Off hand though I would suggest my friend Jane Richmond's Oatmeal Pullover. it's a great and easy sweater to start with.

    2. Oh fab, thank you :) I'll keep an eye on your page and I'll check out Jane's pattern :) Thank you xx

  15. What to knit??!!!! So excited to jump into this KAL.

  16. As much as I want to make something for myself (as I have been attempting to do this year), I will probably knit the wrapped pullover for men by atelier alfa in Cascade Eco. Just found out baby #3 will make it's appearance in late Feb and will be too big to enjoy a sweater for myself this winter. Although, the effortless cardi is on my list and should accommodate a growing belly.

  17. I'm making WORK + SHELTER in Misti Alpaca cotton silk.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm definitely joining in this time! I wanted to participate in a KAL since the Downton Abbey one but I couldn't make it. I'm so excited :) my first KAL! :)
Also, I'm halfway knitting a blanket for my cousin's baby now, it's kind of a boring project...so a sweater would be really nice.

I'll look on Ravelry for inspiration.

  19. This will be my first KAL too and my first adult sweater! I've only made a couple little sweaters for my girls and nothing with long sleeves. I think it is time I knit something for myself. I'm really, REALLY excited about this. Now I just need to decide on a pattern...

  20. Woohoo! I can't wait to get started. I have a bunch of things I'd love to do but I'll have to narrow it down. So many tempting patterns! :)
Just wondering, can we knit any kind of sweater? Tees, cardis, tanks, etc?

    ReplyDelete

    1. It has to be a sweater - shortest the sleeves can go is like elbow length. We do a Tops, Tanks & Tees right before this one for tee/tanks/etc. You can do any type of cardigan for the Summer Sweater KAL - just has to have at least elbow length sleeves.

  21. Darn, Shannon, you tempt me so! I am in again this year. I will be making Cape Cod for this project and for Camp Loopy (through The Loopy Ewe yarn store). I am hoping to squeeze in another sweater as well. Sadly I had a couple sweater quantities of yarn that need to be used or passed along. I prefer using them, so I will also knit either Nanook, Featherweight Cardigan or Umbrellas...or Paperdolls...or Tea Leaves...or Mud Season (yes, I have yarn for each of those!)
