ISLAND Pre-Order Book Release!!!

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

A collection of handknits designed by Jane Richmond and inspired by life on Vancouver Island. This book was a special artistic journey to bring Jane's patterns to life with photography by Nicholas Kupiak, modeling by Kylee Shaw, and graphic design/layout  & conception by Shannon Cook & Jane Richmond.

More than just a knitting book, ISLAND is a visual and creative experience showcasing the majestic beauty of Vancouver Island. Filled with designs & fibers that are true to Jane's classic and modern aesthetic, ISLAND not only makes you want to knit, it also inspires you to lose yourself in an adventure of your own.

Be inspired, get lost in the journey, set your imagination free, and ESCAPE to the ISLAND.

  1. Yay! I love mine!
I knit up a Renfrew hat last week with a skein of Tanis Fibre Arts that my daughter picked out for my birthday. Dove colour way. It is beautiful. My sister-in-law has requested an Arbutus cowl as soon as I pick up the yarn, and the other three patterns will be knit and worn by me as soon as I get through some holiday knitting. In fact, Rathtrevor Mitts will most likely be teacher gifts this year!
Congratulations on a beautiful, beautiful collection and book!

    1. Thanks so much Bonnie! That's fabulous! So glad you love the patterns! I cannot wait to see your Renfrew in that colorway!!! That would look gorgeous! Be sure to add your projects to the pattern ravelry page and show it off in the ISLAND book topic in Jane's rav group so we can all drool over it.

      Thanks again hun!

  3. I've never met a Jane pattern that I didn't love, and this book looks like it won't change that. Just pre-ordered it for myself as a birthday present, can't wait to get my hands on it down here in Oz!
