  2. I am crying on the inside right now that I wasn't able to make it! :( That's twice you gals have been soooo close to me for Fiber events and I've missed it. (Yes, I am having a bit of a pity party right now ;P) Looks like you had such a great time, though(despite the rain, wasn't it awful?!), and I will have to catch you next time!
BTW, LOVE your "Jane" hat in mustard! I am loving that color now and I think it's all b/c of you, Jane and Rebecca - who were digging that color long before it was trendy, might I add ;)

    1. I love fall but this was a freakin' monsoon..muaha. Winds and tons of buckets of rain...like hard rain and big drops. Not good for those of us with thin curly hair who like it straight sometimes...lol

  5. Well, the best part of my weekend was getting to go to Knit City and buy some awesome yarn and.... meet you and say a brief hello to Jane! My signed copy of Island is going to be a treasured possession and I can't wait to knit me a Strathcona scarf. Thank you for being so kind and chatty at your booth.

p.s. You said you thought my name was familiar from Ravelry, and I said I wasn't on there much, but I remembered later that I was on there a few weeks ago to buy your Mallory cowl pattern so that makes me a bit of a liar.

    1. You are so welcome Chantel. Thank you for coming by and being such a sweetheart. Can't wait to see your Strathcona all knit up!

Have you finished your Mallory yet?

    2. I did! I knit it up using some chunky dark grape merino from SeeJayneKnitYarns on Etsy and it was a pleasure to knit and the pattern was easy to understand. It's going to be a Christmas present for my sister-in-law.

  7. It was great to meet you, and also to score a swag bag (yes!) and fill it with madelinetosh to make up the Island patterns. I've barely slept since saturday, thinking of all the knitting I want to do! I've got the yarn ready for Renfrew, Rathtrevor and Strathcona! On my next visit to our place in Parksville, I'm going to sit on Rathtrevor Beach and stay warm in my Rathtrevor mitts! Woohoo!
