ps...what do you guys think of the new blog layout? i was up till the wee hours of the night on the weekend drowning in html and boy do i think it was worth it. i'm loving the new layout and all the new things i'll be able to do on the blog again. thanks for your patience over the weekend while we looked not so hot 'round here. please remember it's a work in progress and i'm still tweaking things. it will prolly be the end of the weekend when it's complete so bear with me :) i hope you all like it <3

ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite fabric collections recently as well and I love that it is organic. I would make a whole bunch of bibs and burb cloths for baby gifts. Backed with organic terry cloth, that would be something I would have loved to receive for my babies!

I'm loving the mint! I know exactly what I'd make! A baby quilt for my cousin's baby. They live a very green lifestyle so cloud9 fabrics would be awesome!

ReplyDeleteI like the mint colorway for much the same reason as you! My daughter is expecting her first baby in early February. She has chosen not to know the sex before birth. So a first quilt made in something neutral and beautiful, as the mint colorway is, will be perfect!

I love the chevrons peachy! This would be a great addition to my crafting projects list while stationed in Afghanistan. I am a domestic soldier, who doesn't let the desert get in the way of my knitting, needlework or sewing (unconeventional of course). This fabric would be ideal for a handmade gifts for the upcoming holiday season.

I've been wanting to make my 14-mo-old a quilt for ages, but just couldn't splurge on the fabric. This could be just the push I need! I like the pinky/peachy colourway, but I'm also tempted by the aqua colour...hm. Maybe I'll have to stop by Cloth Castle and see if they have them to look at in person!

Ohhhh I love this fabric line! Both are liked on FB. I would like to make a half apron and matching kitchen towels and hot pads. Maybe even some placemats! All of my kitchen stuff is getting old (seems like I got it all just yesterday, but considering I got most of it as wedding gifts - 12 years ago - I guess it was a little longer than a few days ago). :)

I'd make another baby quilt, and this Tim I'd make it with a light fabric to back it. My son sleeps with the minky-backed quilt I made him every night, which is very sweet, but it's too hot in Michigan for minky blankets right now.
