i'm also planning on getting my hands on some downton abbey now that you have all convinced me in the facebook group. of course netflix canada doesn't have it...so i will have to be a bit more imaginative. i'm also hoping this damn snow melts so i can get to knit night cause i've got way too many projects on the needles. i also got all my pretty half square triangles sewed up and fixed the wonky one (thanks for your tips) and am dying to start getting my zigs and zags together. this quilt is way too much fun :) plus i've got 2 new tutorials in the works and a pattern review coming up this month so stay tuned for some sewing fun too!
what are your plans this weekend? are you a downton abbey addict? are you quilting, sewing or knitting? anyone else dreading more snow? fill me in my friends...you know i love hearing what you are all up to. happy snow free, great tv, hubby snuggles and coffee sipping craft filled weekends. xoxoxo.

I always look forward to your weekend wishes! I really can't wait to spend the weekend relaxing with my daughter and husband, knitting, baking and taking some pictures. I might break out the sewing machine and work on my daughters scrap quilt.
ReplyDeleteI must say those bangles are AMAZING! Also, that cat looks just like our Tippy :) Have a lovely weekend. Hopefully, the snow melts enough that you can get to Starbucks!
ReplyDeleteI hope you both have great weekends as well!
ReplyDeleteOMG is it creepy that my first reaction to that Pyrex photo was to lick my computer screen? I didn't. But I really wanted to.
ReplyDeleteI'm helping with a cooking class for teens this weekend and going to a mom's movie night with the ladies in my 'hood. We're watching a documentary then we'll talk about it. Kind of like a book club but without the commitment of finishing a book! :)
I'll keep my fingers crossed that thrifting brings you some great finds!
those pyrex baking pans are WONDERFUL
ReplyDelete71 and rainy here tomorrow, we're having my oldest daughter's birthday party at home. And wouldn't you know it, our front sidewalk floods, so it's going to be a fun afternoon welcoming people in. Yikes, maybe we need to build a small bridge tonight.
ReplyDeleteShe's having a book exchange birthday party. I hope the girls love it! Soon I'll be posting pics of the party on my blog. Simple, inexpensive, and fun.
It's -24 right now with the wind in Ottawa... I feel your pain:)
ReplyDeleteI usually like older men, but I'll make an exception for Ryan Gosling. And he's actually from my hometown! Not that I've ever met him. Have a great weekend!
I'm going to be finishing up my Bob & Doug McKenzie cross stitch this weekend and going to a Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild sew-in. Here in Vancouver we've lost our snow and are back in rain mode. Classic January in Vancouver = perfect sewing weather!
ReplyDeleteMy hubs and I will never be in the same decade since we're 12 years apart. It occurred to me while we were watching Inception last night that Leo is a year younger than my man, and it seemed so ridiculous that I would be pining after him in Titanic when I was in 6th grade, but I guess not. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I want to clack away at a few more rows of my Stella pixy, and start constructing some Figgy treasure pocket pants in denim/sherbet pips for clover.
And I would also like to lose this damn head cold. I'm sick of not being able to taste my beer! ^_^
I just found out that Downton Abbey is in the Netflix instant stream! I watched the entire first season already!
ReplyDeleteI'm hosting a baby shower tomorrow, so I've been busy setting up for that. I tend to go a little OTT, so I'm making macarons, cream puff towers with melted chocolate, pink lemonade cupcakes. I've decorated the room with huge tissue hanging flowers and a washing line made out of pink ariosa yarn with onesies on. Still need to knit one baby hat and one pair of blingie saartje booties before the shower.
ReplyDeleteAfter that, I plan on skiing a little if I have the energy or otherwise chillaxing watching movies with the family and knitting, with a little church thrown in.
As for Downton, I'm a huge fan. My mum and dad live in England and have been teasing me with how good the 2nd season had been got it earlier than us, and here I was thinking they loved me. I'm excited to hear what you think.
Always love your weekend wishes, and this week I especially needed the cheeriness! Thanks L)

What an adorable blog. Sweet post. I'm a fellow mom, blogger, Starbucks lover and snow disliker. :)
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend was fab!
OMYGOODNESS! Your pyrex collection is awesome! And those bracelets! So fab!
ReplyDeleteI tried to show Chris ryan gosling memes because I really hoped he would think they were funny and start sending me 'hey girl' texts but no luck on that front. He thinks they're dumb and I'm never to show him them again. "But... hand massage... crochet... get it? Sturdy sewing table, ha, right? ....no? Whatevs."
ReplyDelete1) My husband had a birthday this weekend too. So Happy Birthday to both of them.
ReplyDelete2) I seriously <3 vintage pyrex. I really need to go find some.
3) Those bracelets are to die for. I need those as much as I need the pyrex.
Love that knitting card & the ruler bracelets!
