i got some happy news from my physiotherapist this week....i now get to try to do a few things without wearing my belt 24hrs a day!!!! woot woot! closet here i come! i've been wearing the same 3 shirts the last few months to try to cover the horrible contraption and all the "rolls" that come along with it. i've been enjoying the few hours a day now where i can wear my normal clothes and feel like i lost 20 pounds..lol. i can't do too many things yet but i am able to sew in small amounts and i am allowed to walk again. exercise here i come! it's gonna feel so good to be able to get out moving again. it's been way too long since i've been able to walk around/stretch and do anything involving exercise. i have to baby my back and still take it easy but it also means i'm on the way to recovery! yippee!
i will be whooping it up at knit night this weekend. i haven't been able to go for like a month and i have BAD withdrawal. i cannot wait to see my ladies and have a night out with some good laughs, chats and of course - knitting. we'll also be working on some more early spring cleaning in our house that didn't get finished over the holidays and spending some time playing some games and having fun. i've got some more goodies coming your way next week as well as the announcement of our next knit along! so stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteI suppose the only exciting thing going on around here is Thaddeus' vocabulary! I swear he learns at least one new word a day and uses it regularly. Yesterday was Jacket and today is feet...love that little man :)

ReplyDeleteMy own version of knit night isn't so bad though...giggly babies, good food, Oatmeal pullover (I'm at the mindless knitting part of the pattern...wooot) and my giggly husband. okay. He's not giggly, but he's cute, and will be home soon. I kind of have a crush on him. haha.

ReplyDeleteBeen busy over here ~ lots of projects to finish. Feeling back in the swing of blogging again. It's such an ebb and flow sort of thing. Sometimes I have so much creativity flowing out of me and other times I've got nothing.......so I'm just going to roll with what I've got going on now ~ feels good!!
Wish I could come to knit night.......I don't knit, but it sounds like great fun!!

ReplyDeleteI wish you could all come to knit night too! It's so fun! I highly recommend starting your own in your area if you don't have one. It started with just me and one other friend and now we have a great group of wonderful ladies.
ReplyDelete@casey - the yarn swift i'm waiting for is from www.knitpicks.com I also got the ball winder from there - they are both awesome. The swift is on sale right now from them for only $50. I've seen it in action and it's a great swift for the price.
So glad you're able to get up again, Shannon! Ack, I should probably get a yarn swift. My homemade version has serious drawbacks.
