i also finished harper's quilt!!!!!!!!!!! all bound, washed and dried! love it! so comfy and cozy...i can't wait to curl up with it after xmas. i'll post more pics of the whole quilt soon! i also got a last minute gift done for both girls that allowed me to get on poppy the pfaff for a few minutes the other day and boy did it feel good!!! can't show you yet though, there are too many eyes around :) i also am freakin' excited over a project i made for the hubs yesterday that he doesn't know about so i can't show you pics till after xmas but it's killing me. i'm dying to show you all!
but in the meantime this is what we are up to. kleenex, orange juice, coffee, halls, vicks, tv and knitting. i'm just hoping the river that my nose has turned into goes away before christmas and that my little girls are both better soon too.
what are you all up to? are you surviving? what projects have you gotten done? any left to finish? show me your pics - i'd love to see :)

Wow, you've gotten so much done, Shannon! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous shawl. Curious if you do any loom knitting or just needles... I'm trying to learn loom knitting with my almost-7-yr-old. I think I need a mentor. LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, I am stunned and.....well jealous! I want a shawl like that and the quilt!!!! And the yarn! It's all so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys feel better, and if I don't manage to come back to the blog before the end of the week, Merry Christmas!! It's been awesome getting to know you over the KAL's.
To a wonderful 2012!
LOOOOOVE the shawl!! It's so beautiful; the colour reminds me of the one I made in the summer (blogged here http://pintucks.wordpress.com/2011/10/05/knitting-part-deux/).
ReplyDeleteAs for Christmas stuff....gaaaahhhh #headdesk. Do I seriously only have like 3 more days? I am so screwed. I actually only have a cowl for my sister in law that I need to finish, so hopefully I'll be able to pull that off by Sunday. I haven't done a ton of sewing, though I did make some "Santa Dresses" that my daughter requested for their Christmas concert (current post on blog). Oh well....looking forward to January!
Nice work though Shannon - my goodness, my back is FINE and I haven't been even half as productive as you!!!
I have been knitting and sewing up scarves. After this I will not want to look at another one for a while. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
i FINALLY finished my 'bob's scarf' for the hubs and am working very late nights on some christmas reindeer for the kids and a hobby horse for my nephew. all the while battling this horrible cold... i really can't remember when i've had a cough this bad - knocked me on my ass for two days.... 10 days later i'm still coughing, i swear i've blown out a lung. and with all the coughing my head and neck are wickedly sore.
ReplyDeleteLOVVE the shawl the colour is gorgeous :) i'm so jealous, wish i had more time to craft it up... i think next year i'm gonna start in July! (good idea for a blog a post - x-mas in july - get a head start ;))
I finished two gifts yesterday! Now I just have two more to make by Christmas, finish my Christmas dress, and Christmas PJs...we'll see about the last one. I am very proud of how much I have accomplished so far. In fact I'm so close to being finished that I'm already starting to think about my goals for Next Year :)
ReplyDeleteLast night I got home to a box of gifts for our family from an anonymous giver...so neat! I love that feeling of feeling loved.

LOVE that turquoise! I love special designs in knitting, but haven't tried lace yet. I asked hubby to get me a gift certificate to my local yarn shop - A Piece of Ewe (and less than a mile away - gotta love it!) Cuz I have my eye on a cowl from spectacular yarn! Looking foeward to some selfish knitting ovee the holidays!
