oh ya...it's that big folks. that giant, hairy thing above my hubbies mouth is his mustache. it's nasty...and guess what..this pic is from a week ago at least! ohhhh.....god...it creeps me out so bad ladies. each night when he falls asleep all i want to do is shave it off. i did study barbering in hairdressing school so maybe he wouldn't even notice me doing it??
he keeps threatening me that he's not going to shave it off....i'm scared folks...scared. this momma is shakin' in her boots!
i mean look, even the kids are scared of the thing!!!
we had a good friend come and stay with us the other weekend and my hubby and him so sweetly took the kids out all day one day so i could get some serious rest for my back. these are all pics they brought back for me to find on the camera. they also brought me back starbucks, dinner, and some ps3 games to play! how awesome are they?

we love it when visitors come to stay at chateau cook...lol!
i love these shots of big sis helping little sis. rare moments that these two are getting along and not fighting. oh man am i nervous for when these two are teenagers.

i love how happy she looks here..
and i'm dying to know what caused the look on the kids faces! maybe it was the shock of the size of my hubbies mustache??? i'm so thankful it's so very close to december 1st and i can have my non-porn star, non dirty cop, non creepy man hubby back...hahahaha....sorry hun :P
so what about you guys? did the rest of you manage to survive movember? are you all as happy as i am to see the hairy caterpillars go? let's chat 'stache mo'sistas!
p.s....for all you sewing lovers i've got a great and oh, so talented guest poster coming on next week with a to die for tutorial! so stay tuned...i haven't forgotten about you all. i figured since i can't sew right now i would enlist the help of others to help feed your habit!

oh my gosh- my hubs is having a movember wind-up for work tonight and then that thing is COMING OFF. he, too, has threatened to keep it and if he does, i swear, he won't be coming anywhere near me until it's gone again. it's so nasty and creepy. my 18 month old son actually, full-on, genuinely SHIVERED when he got a kiss from his dad this morning. if even the baby is creeped out, that things has got to go.
ReplyDeletelovely pics- and mackenzies face at soccer is too sweet!
have a lovely day and rest up that back of yours.
ps how are you managing to stay away from the machine this close to Christmas?! must be torture!

I'm so proud of myself!
haha those pics are awesome!!!! and that is so cool to have the boys take the kiddos for the day and then bring you back many treats. yay for you! i love that my hubby ended up just shaving his 'stache and i never even noticed for several days. hahaha. oh poor les. he dreams of growing a 'stache like your man can. ;)
ReplyDeletei must confess that the handlebar moustache my hubs is sporting is kinda - dare i say Hot ;)
ReplyDeletewhat kinda ps3 games did the men bring back for you? i used to be a little bit of a gamer in my previous life pre-kiddies.
1) DecemBeard starts soon...
ReplyDelete2) The kids were making sure the coach knew that "red" does not mean "go"... game of red light, green light ensued...
3) Who likes mullet March?
4) Sideburns September?
PS - For those that don't know, I am the creepy guys in those pictures...
When I met my husband, he shave his head and his face... then slowly, over the years, he has gotten lazy with it - his words, not mine. After me letting it go to see how long it would take him to at least trim it all up, I broke. He could apparently handle it longer than me. If I wanted a hair kiss, I'd go love on our dog! Now we have an accord where he will shave it all off on Sunday nights... he's still sexy with stubble so it's a fair trade... lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous pictures!!! Your lovely girls looked like they had the best day:)
ReplyDeleteTBH, we've been married for almost nine years, together for eleven, and I have no idea what my hubby's face looks like under the beard... I'd be scared not to recognize him without... I quite like the Decembeard idea, though...;P
My husband has had a mustache for the 30+ years I've known him. Except one day, about 29 years ago, he shaved it off. I couldn't look at him without laughing so he promptly grew it back and there it has stayed.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of the kids. They are beautiful!
I seriously high five the guys for bringing you back all the wonderful treats! So happy for you that the stache is going soon too.....it takes a special man to look good in one.
ReplyDeleteMy husband occasionally grows a stache and I hate it. It looks like a bushy inchworm on his lip. So glad your time with the stache is almost over. Love that you were able to get a few solo moments for healing.
ReplyDeleteWow!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha @ Jer!!! Do it! Dream Beard, Mullet March and Sideburn September!!! :):) love your comment!!
Wow is for MACK!!! holy cow has she gotten BIG! she looks huge and sooo OLD all of a sudden!!! Sniff! Gorgeous too!!!!
And Harper is adorable and beautiful too:)
XO TO YOU Shannon!! May your back heal FAST!!!
When they're teenagers, if they aren't fighting each other, they will probably be ganging up on you ;) I hope you are feeling fabulous in no time, seems like you're on the down and out more often than not the last few months! Sucky streak ): Hopefully to be followed with a huge streak of rad!
ReplyDeleteI think what really makes your hubby's stache a bit strange is his big baby blue eyes.
My littler one doesn't like to get kisses from daddy because of his facial hair, haha! I can't say I blame her, I've wound up with a rash more than once that I eventually realized was Beard Burn. I wish I was kidding.
