to one day be able to rock some serious turquoise shoes...
to have a grand ol'time at our first modern sewing meetup...
to find the patience to crochet this tiny granny square bookmark...
to enjoy some bbq goodness this weekend...
to go the beach & remain calm, cool & collected (or at least try to..haha)...
to add some more color to our summer...
and that my hubs sees these & realizes i NEED them.
it's almost the weekend ladies and boy am i happy about that. it's felt like an extremely long week. i keep finding myself daily daydreaming about vacations, quietness and that everlasting search for inner calmness that us mommies can never seem to find. maybe it's due to the fact that i think my 4 year old is determined to turn me grey and seriously just test every single little thing in life right now. ahhhh the f*&king fours...not so happy about 4, makes me miss the 3's if that's even possible..lol. (if you want to know why i need to stay calm at the beach read the facebook convo on the luvinthemommyhood page from yesterday)
we've got some good friends coming to visit this weekend and we can't wait to seem them! i've also got my first get together for our "modern sewing group" meetup this weekend! it's been a long time in the making and i'm so frigging excited about this i cannot even put it into words! the lovely local sewing shop "satin moon" is hosting us and we get 3 hours WITHOUT KIDS to sew in their lovely space! can you see the drool coming out of my mouth?? i'm going to get some serious time in on harper's quilt - i cannot wait! thank you satin moon! if you live in victoria or visiting in town you should check them out. they have a lovely selection and you can also shop online :)
besides that we're going to a bbq, i have a ton of chores to catch up on (yuck) and a fun tutorial for you all at the start of the week...and maybe.....a giveaway?! yippee! love me a good giveaway! can't wait to show you all the tutorial - i hope you like it! i also plan on making my big order for my knit picks interchangeable needles! i've been saving for 2 months and can finally order those babies to come live with me! yippee!
i'm wishing you all a wonderful, lazy, fun, relaxing, coffee sipping, sewing stitches, sun bathing, family time filled weekend!!! have a good one and i'll see ya monday! what are you all up to this weekend? any of you deal with some major tantrums this week? i sure did! let's chat - it's the weekend :)

Those shoes! LOVE. Satin Moon is the only place I've seen Amy Butler fabric around town, so if anyone is looking for it that's where it is. See ya there!
ReplyDeleteIf you're knitpicks go missing, it wasn't me m'kay? (setting up my cover in advance)
OMG! Those bandaids are so awesome! I need some too :)
ReplyDeleteI shall be going to a wedding tomorrow evening and trying to complete a couple of scrapbook projects :) Fun stuff!
I feel your pain! My 2yr old has been throwing tantrums all week to the point where I don't really want to take him out of the house...not unless I want to deal with struggles of getting him in the stroller, to hold my hand when we walk across the street, to stay in the shopping cart...the list goes on! He really is fighting me on absolutely every step!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's this about a modern sewing group??? I would love to partake if there is any room in the group??
You're going to love your set of KP needles (not that I need to tell you that!!), I seriously don't know how I even knitted without them! They are so great, and the 2 problems that I've ever had with them were met with awesome and prompt customer service!
Have a great weekend! :)

ReplyDeleteThe one promise of childhood, with all it's joys and challenges, is that it will end. Hang in there. Before you know it, she'll be doing something else that drives you nuts. <3
