so happy it's friday today! it's felt like a long week. phew! i'm in the mood this weekend for some fun! i feel the need to get out and run & play. must be from being cooped up all week last week with a sick kiddo. i'm planning on doing a bit of thrifting this weekend with a friend, a walk on the beach accompanied by my two girls and the hubs, a date with my sewing machine to have a serious chat about it's naughty behaviour and some rest & relaxation - ha, wait who am i kidding, rest and relaxation? what's that??? maybe i'll settle for a wee bit of rest. yeah..i'll take that.
i would like to get harper's hat that i've been knitting since xmas done and also cross off finding fabric for my quilt back and chair cushion as well. it's driving me nuts that i still haven't found "the" fabrics. i keep looking and liking but just not loving. does this ever happen to you? i want so badly to finish the quilt but don't want to just settle on the backing. hopefully something will find it's way to me soon. what fabrics are you coveting at the moment? have you seen the new sneak peek for "1001 peeps" from lizzy house? i'm excited for this line!
wishing you lots of rest, fun, coffee and crafty goodness this weekend! what are your plans? are you going thrifting? fabric shopping? let's chat :)
ps. don't forget to get your entry in for the sweet pea shoe patterns/shoeology giveaway!!! making shoes is fun!!!

I'm going to crochet myself a hat, sew myself a skirt, and take the girls for a long walk in the sunshine that has finally returned to our corner of the world. This is happening in my pipe dream reality...we'll see what I actually accomplish.
ReplyDeleteI'm not usually a fan of pastels but the pantone lineup is giving me some good color combo ideas...so pretty and fun!
well here you are, just saw it the fabric for your cushion: http://www.houseofturquoise.com/2011/02/harlequins-anoushka-collection.html
ReplyDeletebut it might cost ya a million bucks:) drool over that collection or what? how about them apples? have a great weekend hun!
Hey Shannon,
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your all feeling better :), sounds like you have a fun weekend planed....
My weekend wish is to add my new headband designs to my shop....
And I would really love to get my first online sale ;) xox
LOVE that poster!
ReplyDeleteI am super jealous of your thrifting plans! I've been put on a "strictly the essentials" budget that doesn't allow for any fun :( Luckily I've got some gift certificates and groupons saved up for some fabric shops, but I can't find anything I'm positively smitten for either. I might just have to hold out a little longer for this collection to be released....

My plans... clean house, hike to the beach and back (a 5.5 mile trek), and make my husband his annual homemade valentine. We have one rule for Valentine's you MUST MAKE a card. No gift necessary. Just a card but it can't be store bought. Our first "real date" was Valentine's Day 1992 and coincidentally we had made each other cards. We haven't missed a year yet. I have NO ideas for this year... anyone, anyone? :) That apple photo is super cool.
ReplyDeleteHannah - Sounds wonderful! I know that pantone lineup just jumps out at me! I adore it!
ReplyDeleteChristina - You are evil..tee hee! LOVE IT! You know me too well..haha.
Buffy - Crossing my fingers for ya! How's that new little angel doing?
Harmony - I would go with a simple piece of white paper. Cut out a heart shape and then line the inner part of the card with Red paper. One part of the red paper (the part that would be the inner..cut out little hearts in one corner kind of like floating bubbles sequence) and the white will show through. Simple yet pretty. BTW - that is a very romantic valentine's day story :) I hope you have a very happy and romantic one!
a) I am totally behind on my blog feed AGAIN. But I am catching up today. Lots of skimming involved.
ReplyDeleteb) that coffee image is totally about to be my new facebook profile.
