what a week! i crashed and burned last night. i thought i would get more sleep as the week went on but instead i got less and last night got the best of me. so weekend wishes is here, it's just a tad late...you all don't mind do ya? i hope the rest of you who were downing the coffee with me due to lack of sleep got more than i did this week. here's to a sleep filled weekend.

the hubs is writing his exam today....thank god! i'm so excited for this time to be over and to have him home again and for us to enjoy the holidays. ok, and for me to have more time to craft it up..haha. it's been tricky getting the time in with no help at home. how's your xmas crafting going? you as behind schedule as me?

we're planning on checking out the fabulous xmas trees on display at the empress hotel here in victoria, going for dinner at a friends house, me sewing & knitting my brains out, catching up on dexter & a few movies, a girl's only lunch for me and of course, naps :) oh, naps. i miss naps. i need a nap. i sadly underestimated naps when i could still have them.

what are your weekend plans? your wishes? you doing some festively fun things with the family? pull up a chair, i've got some hot chocolate for you...let's chat :)

  2. That makes me feel so much better that I'm not the only one who feels that way! My husband finished writing his exams on Tuesday and I was excited to get him back, but mostly so he could watch our daughter and I could craft! I missed him too though!

  3. @Taylor Nope, you're not alone. It's maybe a tad selfish of us, but hey, what do ya do. I missed my hubby horribly too, but figured it would be boring if my whole post was me gushing about how much i love him..hahaha.

  4. If you were here I would let you borrow our Chipmunks album! As a child, I would listen to it on grandma's big ol' console hi-fi...

Hope this weekend brings naps, relaxation, accomplishments, and a warm cup of cocoa...

  5. I think naps are only truly appreciated by those who can no longer have them... I do understand the need for head space to craft and relax... Hope you do get your sleep filled weekend! Merry Christmas!

  7. I finished all my end-of-semester grading yesterday, and I couldn't feel better! (My students, on the other hand, may feel differently...) Let the last-minute holiday crafting begin!

  8. I luckily got in a quick nap between chrissy lunch and chrissy dinner engagements yesterday, and I booked a sleep in with the hubs this morning. I feel soo much better, our sleep this week has been up and down, so I've had to steal a few naps, but my goodness the housework has suffered! I need help!
oh and I have one crafty ambition to make a Christmas name banner for our wee one but... we'll see if that eventuates...

  9. thinking of my craft room sends me into fits of hysteria in my head. Every time I try to creep down there something happens to stop me. tricksy. Oh well, I'm not even tired feeling, just kindof new-mommy stupid. Like Oh Hi, I've been staring at a tree for the last ten minutes! And it's not even an interesting tree! I get five hours uninterupted each night, and then another two or three after that. And naps are for the weak! And by weak I mean those that are lucky enough to manage to sneak them in.

I'm such a grinch suddenly. No holiday spirit for me. It's because I can't figure out what to get for the rest of the people on my Christmas list. Which at this point boils down to... MEN. hmm... Home Depot gift cards for everybody! yaaay. (I wish. ) Hopefully I'll finish tomorrow and then my holiday cheer will return.
