peaks island hood my favorite!!!
ReplyDeleteI vote for cozy knit :D.
hugs.
I'm voting for cozy knits this time!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I prefer to sew, I think knitting makes for the nicest, most wearable scarves!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely knit on this one!!! I am not a great knitter, but I will be wearing my first knitted scarf this winter! I call it the Accidental Scarf, b/c I had no idea what I was doing, but it's organic cotton in winter white and I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI really want that Peak's Island hood though. :-D
Nothing can come between me and my KNITTED scarf! SO definitely, cozy knits!
ReplyDeleteI'm not seeing a poll, but come on, this round is totally rigged, it's not even possible for 'sews' to win a scarf round. I call foul! ;)
ReplyDeleteI do love the ruffled scarves though, I might make one for myself. Who am I kidding, I live in Manitssnowblah, I sport a balaclava from the end of November to the beginning of March. Ok, that's a lie... I actually just don't leave the house. ;)
I have to go for cozy knits scarfs are ment to be knitted!
ReplyDeletecomfy knits, comfy knits, comfy knits. ;)
ReplyDeleteOk folks, so sorry, the poll wasn't working this morning, do not know why. I will count your votes in to the final tally next week. There were only 3 votes this morning which can't be right.
ReplyDeleteAnd nope, it's not rigged..hahaha, I happen to think sewn scarves are just as cozy. Think of all the thick, and luxiourous (sp?) fabrics you could make any one of these patterns from. I tried to choose patterns for sewing that could be personalized with very warm and of course, comfy fabrics :)
I'm voting sewn this week. They are fast to make, stylish to wear, modern, fresh and oh, so warm :)
For this round, no hesitation, I'm all cozy knits!
ReplyDeleteThis round is a no-brainer for me. I'm in the corner of cozy knits when it comes to scarves. There's nothing like wrapping your neck in knitted warmth on a cool fall day!
ReplyDeleteI have to say the knit scarves look the coziest to me. Makes me sad I don't know how to knit!
ReplyDeleteOh boy - you found some beautiful examples of both sew & knit.
ReplyDeleteI could not decide... So I made one of each!!
I SEWED this upcycled wool & flannel scarf:

I KNIT this cool Double Loop scarf/cowl:

I so love these black and white photos! Real women too! Thanks for all the lovely inspiration--I'm not a huge scarf wearer but getting there over the past couple years and I have to say it's all about knit or crochet!
ReplyDeleteknits ( or crochet) just look more comfy!
ReplyDeleteI am usually a comfy sews girl, but cable knit scarves are too darn gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI've never made a sewn scarf but these pics make me want to...especially that hooded scarf from the first row.
ReplyDeleteI however absolutely hate knitting scarves...no amount of cuteness, unique construction, nor enormous needles could ever induce me to knit another one! So yeah, I voted comfy sews!
Buffy
I can't believe you're turning me to the knit side!!!!!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIn general, I love sewing more than knitting. But in this round the word scarf in the dictionary means cosy knits.

Nothing beats a knit.
ReplyDeleteNormally I'd be all for the knits when it comes to scarves. But I just received the best birthday gift ever in the form of an infinity scarf sewn out of super soft flannel and I'm in love with it. So this time I pick sew!
ReplyDeleteWell this really killed me as I'm a sewer not a knitter, but I think the knits win on the scarf front!
ReplyDeleteLove the knits. Here's one of my favorites to make for people - and it's free! I should take a picture sometime of one I made...
