what's your fave slipper pattern? are you a slipper wearer?

Aaah!! I gasped a little when I saw the very first photo of the felted slippers! I HAVE to make those! I even have the same color wool yarn. A sad reminder of a beautiful felted bag I labored over forever and then left on a plane in Singapore never to be seen again - WITH a partially complete angora knit project inside!
ReplyDeleteAll of those knit slippers are making me totally bummed that I don't know how to knit!
ReplyDeleteOoooh these are lovely. I wish I could knit! But I can sew, so I just bought a pattern from one of the Etsy sellers you showed. I love this theme!
ReplyDeleteI definitely had to pick the cozy knits - especially for the grey felted ones! they are just sooo cute I might have to try to learn to knit yet again to eventually make those...
ReplyDeleteand BTW I added you as a friend on ravelry! I just love that site don't you!?
Oh, boy! I can tell already that my favorites on Ravelry is going to be bulging, and my head will be spinning over what to knit next!
ReplyDeleteLucky for me, my husband has this obsession with finding me yarn that is on sale and periodically brings home bagfulls - I've got about 100 skeins of wool!!!! So...bring it on ;)
For this one, I have to say knits. They're so warm & cozy!
ReplyDeleteAwesome knits. BUT can we get some Crochet love? please? pretty please?
ReplyDeleteI just don't know what to say. I love both the knits and the sews...so cute. Those felted ladies boots A-DOR-ABLE! OMGness...I wish I knew someone who would knit & felt them for me (I don't felt, though those slippers make me pause)
ReplyDeleteHowever, those orange flower ballerina slippers, I've been drooling over that pattern & picture for a good 2 months now...I LOVE ORANGE.
My problem is 5 kids...no time...and too much eye candy for both my favorite crafts...ack! I've been sewing more for the simple fact the garment is finished faster.
Oh, if only I didn't have to sleep...wait I haven't been ;) Teething baby.
Have a great day! Buffy
i love the knitted ones this round, I can't help it! It's the sewing ones I clicked on though, I'm far too lazy to knit vs sew, I love the instant gratification of sewing... sigh... i'm so hopeless.
ReplyDeleteI am a knit fan. I just think they are soooo comfortable
ReplyDeleteSeriously loving this theme Shannon! This is going to be fun!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to make the French Press slippers, but I'm swooning over the felt boots! The sewing vs. knitting battle is definitely one that wages in my brain regularly! :) Great idea! I'll link you in my blog!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you guys are having fun and enjoying the match! I'm torn on this one, but think I myself am siding with knits this round...can't beat knit slippers.
ReplyDeleteAs for you crochet diehards, I love crochet too, she just may make an appearance later this month :)
thanks for sharing such a cute collection of slippers really love it keep it up
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this roundup. Now that fall has arrived it's every evening a tough choice: go to my sewing room or stay in the living room to knit. This round of slippers was easy to decide though: I'm off to Ravelry right now. :)
ReplyDeleteI probably prefer knits a tad bit better than sews, especially since I cannot knit very well! Would have to say knits are cozier... They also take much longer to create so that's probably why they are "warmer".
ReplyDeleteI have made some sewn slippers before (I have a tutorial on my blog) but I wish I could knit so I could make some knitted ones :).
ooooohhh - thanks for the roundup Shannon! I'm a teensy obsessed with comfy stuff for my feet! I want to try several of these!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for including my ballerina slippers, too :)
I'm late to the party - just catching up now, but I'm totally a slipper-wearer. And thanks SO much for all the GREAT links!
