round four - comfy sews VS cozy knits clothes & hats roundup

today is the last round for comfy sews & cozy knits to battle it out in the ring. i'm sad, but also excited. it's been so much fun organizing all of this and i cannot wait to see who is going to win. this week's round started out as pillows...i got bored..haha. no offense to pillows, but my mind is on clothes at the moment. maybe it's because i've been on the hunt for cozy & comfy clothes for the winter.

after vetoing pillows i kept finding myself leaning towards cardigans. i wear a cardigan almost everyday, unless of course it's 32degrees. i think cardigans are an essential staple to any girl's wardrobe. so i started digging and then cardigans turned into clothes and then of course - hats, and since there a gazillion tutorials/patterns out there here are some of my personal faves. so here you go...it's a tough one. i think i'm tied this time round...again :)

  1. wow! i feel like a celeb! my wrap cardi is in the race for helping out knits! thank you so much!
and i think the decision is tooo hard! i love all those comfy knit wear and the hand knit things. especially jane richmond's comfy knits with thick yarn and big needles.

  3. Imagine my excitement to come here and find so many cute cardi patterns... only to click on the Ravelry links and discover I favorited a lot of these awhile back and just forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder :)

It's too hard of a decision. I think I'd have to choose knits just because I could actually make them, but some of the sewn ones are gorgeous, as well. Gives me some ambition to get my sewing machine back from my mom, haha!

  5. yum yum yum. I love the sews but I am excited to find a new beret to knit. I do enjoy knitting myself a nice beret every fall! I really can't pull off a toque without looking like a hobo.

  7. I have loved this entire thing. I have to say I'm definitely leaning more towards knits. You are definitely making me want to learn to knit more and more and more every day! I would love to see this continue forever it is so much fun. I would also love to see crochet added to the mix as that is really all I can do at the moment:) Thanks for such a fun "game"!!

  8. Sewing all the way baby! Well ok, it's not that black and white by any means but as a sewer and not a knitter I'm really excited by all the neat options I have that I didn't realise existed! Thanks for pulling so many great resources together. I've made the Karen cardigan and the Wrap Sweater, but I've bookmarked a couple of other things like the drawstring cardi to try next. And a big yes to doing it again next year!

  11. Okay, I can't even believe it. I just voted for Knits.

    I know.

But SERIOUSLY! How can you not? I mean look at those pieces!

My library has a knitting group and I just picked up the flier yesterday, it says bring a number something sticks and some yarn and they will teach you how!
    So excited.

By the way, did I ever mention you are a genius? This idea was sheer brilliance!
