Im usually a knitter but I have to vote for sewing on this one. I just love me a warm quilt!
ReplyDeleteAaa! I can't decide! I'm a knitter and a quilter! Since I haven't actually knitted a blanket, I guess I have to go with sews. I posted about Comfy Sews vs. Cozy Knits at http://ajennuinelife.wordpress.com/2010/10/05/comfy-sews-vs-cozy-knits-month/
ReplyDeleteOh boy. Another tough one!!
ReplyDeleteBut I think I have to case my vote for the quilts! The argyle fleece throw is beautiful - I'm gonna have to check out that tutorial...
I really like the pixie dust lap blanket. So I would say Cozy Knits! All the Way!!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a big time knitter, but I have to go with a snuggly sewn quilt on this one. Love them all though!
ReplyDeleteGotta go with the quilts! I can sew faster than I can knit! Love ALL the yummy tutes though. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteVery hard decision...I'm a knitter and always wanted to knit a blanket...rather than just buy one...but I loves me some quilt...so...I will go with Comfy Sews this time!
ReplyDeleteThat green cable blanket is beautiful, but I have to go with sewing. I love to curl up on the couch in a good quilt!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for quilts- so sewing gets my vote (although I did just add the plaid baby blanket to my favorites on Rav... we'll see if I can find time to fit that one in!).
ReplyDeleteI vote sewn. There are just some soft fabrics that can not be matched with yarn.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that yellow blanket from the purl bee website. My only problem with it is that the yarn alone would cost something like $250.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna have to go with sewn blankets -- simply because they can be much more time efficient and realistic for most of us :)
ReplyDeleteI love sewn blankets more. I don't knit, but my grandma and sister-in-law do. Even with the baby soft yarn, it just isn't the same as a warm, comfy blanket. Especially with a flannel back.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Comfy Sews on this one. Nothing compares to a handmade quilt! I'm also adding that Argyle Fleece Throw to my To-Sew list!
ReplyDeleteAck! I totally thought I'd vote sewing on this one because I love me my quilted blankets. But then I saw the photos of the knitted blankets and got all oooh and awww and ultimately decided to sit on the fence on this one.
ReplyDeleteIf the question was about which I prefer to MAKE, then I would vote sewing because a knitted blanket takes me a couple decades to complete (no, not really, but you get the point) and I really enjoy the process of patchwork quilting. But oh that baby chalice blanket is a stunner!
I've voted for knit the past two times, but this time, I had to go with sewn. Nothing beats a nice warm quilt to snuggle under. Knit blankets are nice, but air gets through the holes and it's just not the same warmth.
ReplyDeleteIts a quilt all the way for me!
ReplyDeletei've been all sewing so far, but i really have to go with knit this time. i don't knit, but my mom does, so maybe i associate it with mommy-comfort...
ReplyDeleteSome gorgeous quilts and fabrics. I always keep an eye open for pretty fabrics to use for quilts etc
ReplyDeleteI think that this is really good, I want to have the chance of make similar crafts when I will be an old man
ReplyDeletejajajaja the first picture is so funny, I can't imagine that scene in the real life, continually I visited your blog looking for some news about this, and thanks to your wonderful work all the time I find just I need to know.
