Retro Mama Teapot Cozy Pattern Giveaway!

oooohhhh, another giveaway!i'm excited! i eyed this teapot cozy a while ago & fell in love with it! so when i started teacup month it was only natural to ask the fabulously talented kim from retro mama to do a giveaway for one of her gorgeous teapot cozy patterns! so all you sewers that have been drooling over the teapot cozy madness over here now's your chance to make one of your very own!

i just can't get enough of these tea cozies - i'm addicted! don't you just love the quilted patchwork? it just adds that extra twist and that special something to the everyday cozy! so gorgeous! do you want to make one? you know you wanna......i know i do!

what's the prize:

2 winners will each win a copy of the "posy cozies patchwork tea cozy pattern" from retro mama!


how do you enter?

1) simply pop on over to retro mama, drool over her lovely shop and then come back and tell me your fave item. simple as that.

2) leave another comment telling me the color scheme you would make your cozy in and the fabric you would use. i love hearing this! it's way more fun to share!

  5. And, the wonderland does look good, I just made a quilt out of this... However I would make mine Orange and brown and perhaps mustardy yellows (those were the colours featured in my great grandmothers house and I just have nostalgic, warm and cosy feelings for them!

  13. You don't have to count my in the giveaway, but I just wanted to pop in and say that there is a swelling rumour in the craftblogosphere that these pattern's are ripoff's of Heather Bailey's. Now that I finally see them here with photos - I see that the rumours are pretty spot on. How sad.

Ah--I would make the teapot cozy because I desperately need one, and I would use (theoretically speaking, if I wasn't going to be practical and use up stash fabric) some luscious Anna Maria Horner with some dark brown linen that I have been saving for a special project. I would probably make two--one for me, and one for my mom.

  31. Thanks for introducing me to Retro Mama's store- it's bookmarked and I'm ready to shop (if I don't win of course!). I have to say my favorite is the Stella the owl. I'd use a classic Nicey Jane fabric- maybe Hop Dot Cherry for the body and Welcome Road Stripe Pink for the wings. Yes, I think that will do just wonderful! :) Can't wait to sew the tea pot cozy for Christmas gifts too- what a great idea!!!

  81. The tea cozy is my favorite but if I needed to pick something else it would be the pear trio. I would make the cozy out of some fabulous fall colorway to fit into my autumn home - burnt orange , purple, gold, green, bronze-y brown.

I recently made a few Retro Mama elephant and owl softies for little ones in my life - great patterns, directions were easy to follow, they sewed up quickly and easily and each of the little ones who rec'd them love them. Our main kitchen color is blue so the cozy would be made with many a different shade of blue.
