i think i need help to get over my addiction to the margaret bag from oh fransson. after making two as gifts for christmas i desperately needed one for myself as well. i still have a few more to make too! i think it is seriously just the perfect sized bag/purse combo and double duties as a diaper bag for me too. i love it! looks like my little one loves it too!

what have you been making this week? any projects you would like to share?

ReplyDeleteI just sewed these up a few nights ago. still making me ridiculously happy... I love my kiddos, and I love classic cameos... so I whipped out these silhouettes.... aren't they awesome?!?!?!
I've been in between tutus and cute headbands! Love that bag though too. I am waiting for new pattern to come in and I think I will be all over making my daughter a new dress!
ReplyDeleteLaurie Anne - Aww thanks hun!
ReplyDeleteBobbie - I think the dress looked cute!
Ramona - I love those pillows, that's a fab idea!
Krissy - That tampon purse you found is hilarious!!!!
I'm more of a lurker; I usually just read through RSS feed. I love that bag; it's great. I have been working on a redesign of an owl hat kind of like this one: http://craftevangelist.blogspot.com/2009/10/owl-toque.html I just put the buttons on today while listening to a couple of Sister Diane's CraftyPod podcasts.
ReplyDeletei made that bag in a larger size for my diaper / travel bag for an overseas trip with a 5mo old last year. it is perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteThat purse is wonderful and your daughter is adorable. I would love to make one however i've never sewn before, i just bought a sewing machine, is this something i should even try to tackle this early on?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing on your blog its great!! I also follow you on twitter: oebabyknits.

craftevangelist - i love that owl toque, it's on my to knit list...the cardigan owl pattern is great as well. thanks for commenting :)
ReplyDeletesarah - it is isn't it! it holds everything i need without being huge and bulky and weighing down my shoulder.
I made this bag in tiny black polka dots to by my "daypack" at a conference back in November. It was comfortable to wear all day with my notebooks and daily items in it. Now it is the perfect bag for the library because I can fit all of my LittleBit's books in it as well as our toddler necessities.
ReplyDeleteNext, I've gotta make the smaller size for an everyday purse, too.
I went to your link on how to make this bag and it has been deleted! Is there any way you can post a blog showing how to make this? I love this bag and know several Mommies (including myself) and Mommies to be that would love this! I have older children (8,6,5) that this would work for! When we go somewhere we always have to take in tow coloring and reading items! This would be perfect. Even for the snacks! I hope you can help me with this! Thank you so much!
ReplyDelete@Amanda Ball Unfortunately Oh,Fransson has removed this bag pattern from her free patterns. I suggest you write/comment on her blog mentioning we are all missing this pattern. I am unable to do a post on how to make this bag as it would be a copyright infringement for me to "steal" her idea. Hopefully Elizabeth from OH, Fransson will hear our pleas for the pattern and re-release it. Thanks for your comment and happy bag making!
ReplyDeletei have been making simple book bags for christmas for the kid lets practiceing to make my very own bag next week.
