knitting pattern 911

ok all you knitters - i am in need of your assistance. my daughter was gifted this precious cardigan and i want to make another one for her and also one for myself. anyone know of a similar pattern? or want to take a shot at making one? i have had several questions about it and where i got it so i am sure it would be popular. it seems pretty basic, not too tricky, and i am a good knitter, but i am not so great at drafting my own patterns.

  1. Looks like the Baby Surprise Jacket by Elizabeth Zimmermann. Check out SchoolHouse Press or your local yarn store--not a big box.

  4. You really should check out Ravelry (maybe you already have):)
There are more than 8000 made and it's just so inspiring looking through them :)

  5. Ok ladies, I made it over to Ravelry and checked, I think you are all right and it's the "baby surprise jacket". Thank you so much for helping me find the pattern! I also found she does have an adult version as well - yippee for me! I am putting that one on my fall to knit list.
Thanks for all of your help :)

  7. Everyone beat me to the punch! I saw this post this morning but couldn't leave a comment, as soon as I saw this sweater I had a feeling it was the BSJ. The pattern is very interesting, I'm almost finished my very first BSJ but am not sure if it'll fit my little one or if I should frog it and try again. If you need the pattern, you can always borrow my copy!

  9. Melissa - I'm going to see if I can get it from the library, but if not I will definitely borrow yours and scan it. Thanks hun!

Leslie - Ohhhh, there's videos? Thanks for the tip. I will check those out as well. I am excited to try this, now I just need the right wool.

Please leave a comment, I LOVE hearing from you!

Most of the time I try really hard to respond to comments right in the comments section, I find it more fun and that way other people can join in on the conversation. If you would like for me to write you back instead, just leave your email addy (blogger doesn't always give it to me) and I'll send you a hello!
